Kryshar has some natural defenses.
As an example, like I stated several times in the Geography section of this website, the Alps are located to the south of the country. The Alps continue onwards beyond Kryshar towards Italy, Switzerland and Austria. In a case of invasion, Italy and Austria will be forces to be reckoned with. If they were to take a straight route to this country, they would have to cross several times across the mountain range. This will delay an attack and will make it easier for the government and army of Kryshar to predict where the enemy will be coming from.
The mountains are also useful for something else. One very important step this utopian country has taken is posting sentries around the border which is located on the mountain. They would face outwards to the other country and can therefore see if an army is trying to pass through and give the government a warning ahead of time. These lookouts would prove to be a very important asset to the country. They would build sentry stations along with bunkers in case of an attack. These would then be located along the mountain range, some maybe even higher up along the peaks of some of the mountains. If Kryshar were ever to be attacked, which is highly unlikely, then most of the population can hide out in the mountains in the bunkers.
The forests to the north face Germany. If Germany were to ever march an army through the forests, then they would have a hard time maintaining a tight army group because of the dense foliage and the tree trunks. An army is also very big, therefore they would make a lot of noise when trying to make their way through the forest. This should give the country plenty of warning ahead of time as well because of the people that live in the forest. They can then pass on the warning of danger to the military, who can then take action.
The man-made defenses consist of a strong and capable army. Every male who is of Kryshar needs to dutifully do his 2 to 3 years of military training after he finished his studies for Grade 12. Therefore, if Kryshar would ever be attacked, then we would have an army ready whenever we needed one. Furthermore, I have stated several times in the other pages of this website, Kryshar has a close bond with Switzerland after having interacted with Switzerland. Switzerland will therefore also send Kryshar hep and part of its own army in the case of an attack. In the small chance that even that will not be enough to stop the invasion, then Kryshar will receive help from Britain. This will be talked about further in the historical section of this website; however, I will explain it briefly here. Part of Kryshar was previously colonized by Britain under a friendly agreement for 20 years. The colonized part of the country was near the west-northern side. That is why the capital is also located in that area. After the colonization agreement wore off, it was established that Britain would help in the time of need because they established the capital in the first place and would therefore defend their former colony.
