Kryshar has a very effective government system. The government system they have instituted at the present day was affected from this country's history. The royal family has always been present in this country. However,at the beginning of the 19th century, this utopia has changed it ways and become a Constitutional Monarchy.
This has been a great change; the country has greatly benefited from this change. There were several Monarchy. However, that wasn't very fair for the population, because the absolute power meant that they had no say in what the King or Queen decided for them. The King/Queen has no limits to their power, even politically. If the ruler was bad and selfish, then the country could have easily fallen into an economical turmoil. Poverty would have dramatically increased along with unemployment.
There are some reasons why the country and its people decided on this system. In the past (this will be discussed further on the history page) the royal family had all the power: absolute power. That system is called a monarchy.
The population had no choice over who their ruler was because in a monarchy the next ruler will after the current one will be the children of the ruler, the heirs. The absolute power is passed down in the family, which is why they are called the royal family. Therefore, if the heir were unfit to rule, they would still ascend the throne because there is no other choice. That unfit ruler could then potentially drive the country to its downfall. There have been several instances in the country's history as well as for some rebellions which luckily didn't do any lasting damage to the country. Therefore learning from its past and looking towards a bright future, Kryshar decided to change its government system to a constitutional monarchy. The ruler at that time faced a tough decision. They knew that they couldn't change the government system completely without the country falling apart or becoming one big mess, so they had to make a compromise: the royal family would still exist with a continuation of heirs; however, they would have to give up most of their power. Instead, they would share it with a government (prime minister) who is elected by the majority of the votes of the population.
Since that change occurred the country has experienced balance from a stable government system.
The people are happy that they get to choose and decide who gets voted on as prime minister and are proud of their possession of a Royal Family to represent their country.
Even though making decisions in the political side for laws and similar things will take longer now because of the more complicated process of voting and debating the decisions, it will all be for the benefit of the country.
The pros of allowing the population to vote for the prime minister means that they can choose which candidate they would prefer after hearing each of their speeches.
The positive side of Kryshar keeping their Royal Family will also influence the cultural side.The Royal Family is a part of the culture and since monarchies aren't that spread out in the modern world anymore, tourists might want to come to be in a country with a monarch and visit grand palaces and governmental buildings.
